Our impact this year

More than 4.6 million people have streamed a Push participant on Spotify

25,000+ young people have attended our all-ages events

342 young people have volunteered on a Push project or event

1,645 young people have attended a Push professional development workshop

Young people in the creative industries have been disproportionately impacted by COVID-19.

Australia’s Arts and Recreation industry is a major employer of young people, with 27% of the sector aged 15 to 24 years, and a large proportion working part-time and casually (Australian Bureau of Statistics). Young people are twice as likely to be unemployed as the general population (Youth Affairs Council of Victoria).

It is because of this that our community at The Push currently face complete uncertainty as to what a future career or pathway in the creative industries looks like.

Now more than ever, we need to be supporting young people to stay connected and engaged within their communities.

While COVID-19 continues to have a significant impact on the way young people live, work and create, The Push is reimagining the way we do things, to ensure that we continue to deliver relevant high-quality programs that are responsive to Australia’s future music industry leaders and audiences.

By becoming a donor today, you will support our work and provide young people with greater access to contemporary music programs and events.
